Softphone applications require administrator access when installing on Windows or Mac computers. Both softphone applications provide the following services based on the user's office phone number:
- receive calls made to your SeattleU phone number
- make calls from your SeattleU phone number and display that number in Caller ID
- put calls on hold
- access your voicemail to listen to messages, delete messages, or change your voicemail greeting
